Bio:
"He was an owner surrender and had a huge and heavy chain around his neck! He couldn't raise his head, he was underweight and super fearful. The owner said he was 10 Yrs old and he was going to be euthanized without giving him the opportunity of being adopted. Xiomara was passing by and noticed Pirata's situation and with lots of patience she realesed him from that chain and he imediately change his attitude!
The vet checked him and realized he was not 10, but around 5. They started feeding him with small amounts of food, and little by little he was getting better! When I brought him home he was very nervous, he was afraid of loud noises, men,brooms, he was always hungry! He had mild KC but with the antibiotics he got better. I took him to the vet ( ORTHO) cause he has and old fracture in his femur, he told me it was totally healed by itself and won't be any problem for him.
The VET also told me he thinks he might be younger than 5, maybe 4 or 4 1/2. He likes kids, is super relax with cats and with other dogs! The first days he got uncomfortable when I was with him and my other dogs came close to me, but now he is Ok with that. He doesn't like to go in cars, he is terrified and cryes! Pirata's main concern is Food, when he is eating he doesn't like other dogs to get close to him. He doesn't mind people getting close when he is eating! That is understandable cause he wasn't been fed properly!
He is super sweet, now he is learning to play, he loves walks, give kisses, house broken! He still has to get more trust and confidence but I am pretty sure Pirata will make the best Pet for a family with children!! I just adore him!"
